Welcome to my site, I am a totally self taught artist, who works mainly in acrylic on board, hardboard and canvas. Also having private commissions for detailed graphite portraits of children and adults.

Pet portraits are my main interest, which are mostly on a commission basis, I work from photographs but like to meet the animal if possible to look for the details and personal view a photograph cannot capture. I try to feel the texture of the fur and resemble this texture in my work. My goal is to capture the nature and individuality of each animal as much as possible.

I exhibit my work in St Ives, Cornwall. Having shown and sold in London and Europe in the past.

My inspiration behind my artwork has been watching my three sons' grow up, sketching them at each stage.

My love of animals and painting them came started with our first rescue Staffie Josie, in her memory I sponsor our local rescue kennals and support them.

Josie led me back into art after losing the sight in my left eye due to a tumour removal in 2008, I am pleased to say that although totally blind in one eye. I won that battle with the tumour and love life more each day, my artworks are an expression of that to me.

The loss of Josie led to my understanding in the need of Cremain artworks.

My studio sidekick now is the lovely rescue Staffie Izzy, a bundle of fun and a joy to love. She makes my days perfect as she plays along side me, or lays in her chair.

Memorial work is undertaken for pet portraits when requested, at no extra charge. Ashes are included in the painting of your beloved pet.

Paintings' are worked on one at a time only, and when the work is completed the client is contacted, then posted on an arranged date to suit via special delivery, or collected in person.

Please feel free to contact me for further info.
